Driver Partnership & Rental Agreement Terms

1. Driver Partnership & Commercial Rental Overview

This Agreement governs the relationship between Urban Drive Mobility ("Company") and the applicant driver ("Driver Partner", "Lessee") for the commercial leasing and operation of fleet vehicles.

By submitting a Driver Application or taking physical possession of an Urban Drive commercial vehicle, the driver affirms their agreement to comply with all terms stipulated below.

2. Commercial Vehicle Rental Tariff & Daily Due Collection

• Daily Rental Tariff: Drivers agree to pay the standard daily rental rate (e.g. ₹1,100 per day or as officially scheduled in the tariff card) for every calendar day the vehicle is in their possession.
• Daily Payment Mechanism: Daily rent must be cleared using the dedicated Driver Portal UPI QR code or designated collection desks.
• Automated Advance Carry-Forward: Any surplus amount paid beyond the daily tariff is automatically credited to the driver's ledger as an advance, rolling forward to satisfy subsequent days' rent.
• Default & Arrears: Failure to clear daily rental charges for three (3) consecutive days without prior authorized leave may result in remote engine immobilization and immediate vehicle repossession.

3. Refundable Security Deposit Policy

• Security Deposit: A one-time initial security deposit of ₹10,000 (or configured program rate) is required prior to vehicle handover.
• 100% Refundable: The security deposit is fully refundable upon completion of vehicle return, subject to inspection for unauthorized damages, pending traffic challans, and settlement of outstanding rental balance.
• Settlement Timeline: The net refundable deposit will be processed within seven (7) business days of vehicle return and clearance certificate issuance.

4. Fleet Maintenance & Servicing Coverage

Urban Drive covers 100% of routine vehicle maintenance and commercial compliance, including:

• Periodic engine oil servicing, filter replacements, and scheduled maintenance.
• Brake pads, clutch overhaul, tyre replacement for genuine operational wear.
• Annual commercial fitness certifications and road tax compliance.
• Driver Responsibility: Daily fluid checks, tyre pressure monitoring, clean interior upkeep, and immediate reporting of any dashboard warning indicators.

5. Platform Allocation & Operational Conduct

• Multi-Platform Ride-Hailing: Driver Partners are authorized to operate across supported aggregator platforms including Uber, Ola, Rapido, and pre-booked corporate transfers.
• Authorized Driving Only: Only the vetted, registered Driver Partner is permitted to drive the vehicle. Sub-leasing, handing over keys to unauthorized third parties, or engaging in unauthorized inter-city logistics is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for criminal breach of trust.
• Traffic Laws & Fines: Drivers are solely responsible for any traffic violations, speeding penalties, signal jumps, or e-challans incurred during their custody period.

6. Accidents, Breakdown & Emergency Assistance

• Emergency Protocol: In case of accident or breakdown, the driver must notify the 24/7 Urban Drive Fleet Control Room within 30 minutes.
• Accident Reporting: An official Police General Diary (GD) or FIR is mandatory for commercial insurance claims in all accident cases involving third-party damage or significant bodywork impact.

7. Vehicle Handover & Contract Termination

• Voluntary Handover: Either party may terminate the rental arrangement by giving at least forty-eight (48) hours' written notice.
• Handover Inspection: Vehicles must be returned to the official Urban Drive hub in clean, roadworthy condition with complete toolkits, spare tyre, and documents intact.

8. Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution

This agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction resting with courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
